Taran provides trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and client-centred therapy for youth, adults, and families. She is committed to creating a compassionate and collaborative therapeutic space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. Her approach is individualized to each client’s needs, strengths, and goals.
Drawing on a range of evidence-based approaches, Taran incorporates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy into her practice.
Taran has extensive experience supporting clients with trauma, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, family trauma, and the impacts of crime and tragedy. Her areas of practice also include anxiety, depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), developmental disabilities, suicidal ideation, self-harm, stress management, and self-esteem concerns.
Taran holds a Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She offers both in-person and virtual services.
